Bliss!

1 Timothy 6:6-7
Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
Psalm 112:7
He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
Romans 8:6
For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
God offers us contentment: A state of serenity that flows out of trusting in His great sufficiency. God is teaching us to depend on Him alone--content with whatever He provides. Relying solely on God is a rich blessing, even though it may lead us along paths we would not have chosen . If we are truly content to live with God's provisions--now and in the future--we will not be plagued by anxiety. Instead of worrying about "what if's" our heart will be firmly fixed--confident in God.
To counteract the messages of the world, it's essential for us to exert some control over our thinking. Ask the Holy Spirit to help us think God thoughts. The more God controls our minds, the more we will experience Life and Peace.
Remember, we bought nothing into this world. Everything we have is a gift from God. Though we can carry nothing out of this world, the spiritual transformation God is working in us is eternal. Collaborate with God as He transforms us into His likeness, preparing us for the ultimate in blissful contentment--Heaven!
